Goldie's Trip to China

My Autumn Winter design trip to China is now well under way and so far the experience has been immensely rewarding. Below are the first few images from my visit. As you can see the choice of fabrics at the factories and markets are overwhelming which is keeping me extremely busy. Luckily I have a lovely assistant with me, the wonderful Jelin, to keep me company and to help me get the collection out in time. Everything is going fantastically well and I am really looking forward to showing you the new collection when i get back next week :)

The Love Thing

I have just come across this amazing video and I thought I should share the LOVE with you all.

This is the first short film released by Love Magazine, one of my favourite fashion magazines. It’s directed and designed by the genius that is James Lima and has a great cast of models, including Pixie Geldof and Alessandra Ambrosio. But what makes this video truly amazing (apart from the Prada clothes) is the fact that it was shot using the latest technology, RED Mysterium-X. No need for boring details but it makes the clothes and the models stand out that much more on film. Fashion is entering an exciting realm of high definition. I think it is one of the most inspired fashion short film... ever! Enjoy!!

I can’t believe the most awaited girl’s shopping day, the London Clothes Show, has already come and gone! I should like say a big thank you to all those who came and had a look at our dresses, and an even bigger thank you to those who took one of them away at the end of the day.
